Hey hey
How's things?
So, Chie and I went out to Kobe on Wednesday. We'd had band practice the night before and managed to record two songs towards the upcoming CD. I'm pretty happy how one of them came out. It's in the player thing at the top of this page and called ASA NO BEER. Check it out :-)

Kobe was pretty cool but we really didn't have enough time. It took three hours to get there. Once arriving, we had lunch and Chie wanted to go to this big fabric store. She wants to do more sewing and stuff, so I think she spent about 2 hours there. I wandered around. Had a beer at a bar, looked around a CD shop and did a bit of reading. After that, we had a coffee and then went to a gig. We'd bought the tickets ages ago at another gig. It was pushing it a bit though. We had the Wednesday off because of a public holiday, but Thursday was still school. It started at 6:30, so we planned on being there until 10, before getting on three hours worth of train home. We watched three bands and one of them was real good. They were a hardcore band and the moshpit was pretty crazy.

We'd seen the last two bands play before and they both put on an awesome show. In the end we decided to leave a bit early though. It was quite lame being at a gig and having to keep looking at my watch, hoping the current band would finish soon so we could see the last one.

We still ended up getting home at about 1, so we had a quiet one the next night. Just ate pumpkin soup in the leg warmer table thing while watching Outrageous Fortune. After that, I managed to get though about 2 hours of study. I'm going to get a bit more serious about my Japanese study for my remaining time here. If there's a time in my life when I do get level one Japanese, it'll be while I'm here this time. There's so much to get through though, that I have to make it a daily thing. I'm thinking at least an hour a day, broken up into grammar, kanji and vocab. I need to be able to read the various reading for 2,300 Chinese letters, as well as heaps of other stuff. I'm probably on a bit of 1000 now, so I'll try to learn five a day.

Anyways, I'm at Takyu today, so it's a bit more relaxed. Now official classes, but I'll be helping out in a few.

I managed to fax in my voting papers yesterday.
Also, I got some marks back for my uni project. I expected they would pick up on the fact that it was a bit too broad, without enough depth. The whole thing got ab it out of hand. I still managed to get 75% on the project for one course and 78.6% for the other course. It's pretty reassuring because that means that I've at least passed. Just waiting for the last few marks to come though.

Called immigration the other day, too. It was pretty helpful. Got a bit more of an idea of the things I need to put together for Chie's permanent residence visa. So much stuff to do but slightly less than I thought...

Will go out to Ippuku tonight and then we are playing a gig on Saturday. Not much else to say really.

Hope all is well
Cheers
J
